I've hit pretty much the entire menu here and nothing has disappointed. Specials are often great (homemade corned beef hash and zeppoles were the last two, both out of this world). Service is good, the owners are kind, the view is great, and you just can't go wrong. If money were no object (and it's not like Scully's is that expensive) I would have breakfast there every day. No exaggeration.

My favorite breakfast place in the world. I get the veggie omelet and it comes with kale, KALE! In the middle of winter in Wisconsin, kale! The hashbrowns are crispy outside, soft inside and so buttery. I've tasted lots of other things off the plates of others and everything is excellent. The Sunrise is pure decadence. There's never a wait for a table and everyone in the place takes part in each other's conversations because it's filled with regulars. You also get a lottery ticket with your check and they draw a winner every week. If the lot is full, there's plenty of angle parking on the side street next door. The best diner breakfast anywhere.

This place has been in Silver Lake forever. Our grandparents had a house down the street. The newest owners have fantastic food.

I have eaten here a few times. The breakfast is good but had lunch the other day and it was amazing! We had the basics: Quarter Pound Cheese Burgers with homemade fries and a cup of Potato Soup. The Soup was so good and creamy...I can feel my artery clogging as I type. In fact, Death by delicious rich Wisconsin Soup is the way to go! The Burger was just perfect...grilled onions and bun toasted in butter...I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Service was a little slow...we were the only table in there and it was 22 minutes before we got our soup...thanks Chef Ramsey...ever since your show my wife starts timing how long it takes us to get our food once the order goes in. Chef Ramsey would have busted in to the kitchen saying things like: "It's bloody soup just put it in a cup and serve it!" He probably would have thrown in some other words too but I am going to keep this G rated. Also, do not forget the $150,000 view of Twin Lakes...yes there is an incredible view of the lake right from the front window. This is not a restaurant you will drive by. You will have to go to it. But if you find your way driving down Hwy 50 heading towards Lake Geneva...have some adventure...turn on the GPS and drive about 5 minutes to this nice location, but make sure you get there by 2pm because they close early.

Nice little diner with a nice view of the lake if it's not blocked by the cars in the parking lot. Food was good, friendly people. It won't be a bad thing to stop by...

Went here for breakfast this week, and had a great time. Atmosphere was friendly, with the locals cutting each other up. The owners are nice, the view of the lake is wonderful, and the food was excellent. I had the special of the day, a huge hunk of prime rib, with eggs and hash browns, all done perfectly. I'd come here once a week , except for the fact I live in Chicago.
